SakaDesign was founded in 2008 by Sara Musch. 'Saka' was what she called herself when she was a little girl, unable to pronounce the 'r'. Ever since then, Saka has remained her nickname. She still looks at the world with the same childlike wonder and enthusiasm that she had as a little girl. Saka has always been a jack of many trades, and pursues a wide range of passions and directions. She has developed a great variety of skills when it comes to design, graphics, photography, styling, branding and interior decorating. Rather than focusing on just one aspect, she wants to do it all!
Sara Musch graduated from the Amsterdam Fashion Institute with a degree in Branding and Concept. After working for Loods 5 and Ontwerpstudio 5 as an interior stylist, she decided that she wanted to expand her knowledge of Desktop Publishing. She then studied at the Grafisch Lyceum Amsterdam for DTP. She graduated there when she was 7 months' pregnant with her first child, and utterly convinced of her rightful place in the design world; at the head of her own new company. After years of working in the design world Sara felt she had to take a look at the urge to work in the care industry. She went to nursing school and worked for different care institutions. Meanwhile she never stopped creating for SakaDesign. After 43 years of living in Amsterdam, Sara recently moved to the South of the Netherlands with her children.
